Established in 1973 by L. The firm presently consists of three partners, L. Dwayne Hackworth, Michael J. Hackworth, and Joy J. Ferguson; two associates, Benjamin E. Thompson and Jennifer Hackworth Thompson; and two paralegals, Gloria J. McAllister and Pamela S. Deckard. L. Dwayne Hackworth, senior partner is a lifelong resident of Reynolds County, Missouri, a former Reynolds County Prosecutor and graduate of the University of Missouri law school with his primary focus in the areas of commercial and business law, litigation and estate planning. Michael J. Hackworth is also a lifelong resident of Reynolds County, Missouri, and a graduate of the University of Missouri, Kansas City law school with his primary focus in criminal law, personal injury, wrongful death, litigation, divorce, and workers' compensation cases. Joy J. Ferguson is a lifelong resident of Wayne County, Missouri and a graduate of the University of Missouri law school with her primary focus in divorce, estate planning, bankruptcy, litigation, social security, and appellate practice. Benjamin E. Thompson is also a lifelong resident of Wayne County, Missouri and a graduate of the University of Missouri law school. Jennifer Hackworth Thompson is a lifelong resident of Reynolds County, Missouri and a graduate of the University of Missouri law school. Gloria J. McAllister and Pamela S. Deckard are both certified paralegal assistants and have over 35 years combined experience with the firm. Brenda S. Parker is the Office Manager and has been with the firm since it was established in 1973.
